Anyway you should run the game with the ÆOD PK3(s) AT THE END of the command line which should look something like: C:\Zdoom\Zdoom.exe -file customwad.wad AEoD.PK3 AEoDdat.pk3 "customwad.wad" : Means which custom megawad you will use, if any. However, if you are not going to use any custom megawad, you can Simply load the Pk3 files by holding the ctrl key, clicking on the files, and drag onto (g)Zdoom.exe and voila!! Important notes: - You must use at least ZDoom v2.4.1 - NEW WEAPON CLASSIFICATION ORDER!!! No more doom-type or arsenal organization, now we're basing it on power. Just because something spawns in a BFG spawner doesn't mean it's going to be in slot 7. --1. Spellbook/hand-held explosives/misc --2. Melee weaponry --3. Starter weapons/pistols/shotguns --4. Super-weapons - Due to the design of the new HUDs, is heavily recommended that you (user) set the messages to appear centered on the screen Options->Display->Messages Also "Minimum Message Level" to "Obituaries". This is to avoid getting a lot of (unnecesary) messages in the screen that might cover your stats. - Not imperative but is very recommended to use the mouse as the weapons now change the view pitch a little (depeding on the weapon) - It is highly recommended that you bind a key to 'use antichickenator'. You'll see why. - AEoD now uses a weapon slot limit system. This means that for every weapon slot, you will be able to carry only 3 at a time, except for slot 1, where you can carry 3 plus the spellbook, and slot 2, where you can carry 3 plus the default melee weapon. However, you can drop a weapon at any time in order to allow you to pick up another one lying around. You will need to go to Configure->Customize Controls and bind a key to 'Drop Weapon', or 'puke 800' if you want to use the console command. DO NOT USE 'WEAPDROP'. If you want to turn this system off, allowing you to carry as many weapons at a time as you want, bind a key to 'Weapon Slot Limits On/Off' or 'puke 801' in the console. - AEons of death will not run in skulltag. ============================================================================================ ============================================================================================ ============================================================================================ ============================================================================================ * Troubles Section * Okay, for now this is the only "problem" 1. The game will sometimes freeze or crash, not very common but happens sometimes. I have no clue of the reason, but the problem is there. UPDATE: This hasnt happened for a while now, so maybe is fixed UPDATE 2: Thanks to a little rude awakening and kick up the ass by Graf about project organization, we have managed to permanently stuff this in a steel box and bury it under the dead sea... or so we hope. 2. I tried running this in Skulltag but I- See above the Troubles section: Aeons of death will not run with skulltag, period. They do not have the flags Zdoom 2.4.1 has, and unless they decide to implement them, it won't ever happen. Sorry. 3. I'm running Zdoom and I get errors about unknown flags! - Double check to make sure you have the latest Zdoom version (if Gzdoom, make sure it's fully compatible with the latest).
